| This position will report into the Enterprise Project Management Office (ePMO) under the Organizational Services division of the Chicago Public Schools Information and Technology Services (ITS).
This position is primarily responsible for providing business analysis on numerous simultaneous initiatives by:
• Translating customer (internal and external to ITS) requirements into executable solutions
• Managing and making process improvements to existing Project, Portfolio and Functional workflows
• Providing support for the HP ITGC tool which may include training users and some development of content
• Generating, reviewing and editing requirements, specifications, business processes and recommendations related to proposed solutions
• Facilitating adherence to existing Project, Portfolio and Functional workflows
The position is expected to include direct involvement on multiple simultaneous projects and proposed projects as well as the occasional supervision of personnel.
Principal Accountabilities
1. Provide excellent service to clients (internal and external to ITS). Effectively manage vendor relationships in accordance to CPS and ITS strategies and directives while maximizing the benefit to both organizations,
2. Maintain clear communication to stakeholders and the leadership team. Properly routing proposals and achieving resolution.
3. Consult with customers to accurately determine their needs. Collaborating with appropriate ITS groups to determine proposal feasibility. Ongoing facilitation of the client and ITS technical group relationship.
4. Demonstrate a willingness to collaborate and support ePMO and ITS peers and leadership.
Desired Skills and Education
Bachelor's Degree. Major in Business or Technology preferred.
Previous BA experience.
SQL and reporting capabilities are a nice to have.
