| Description |
The US Latino/a Studies program (USLS) in the College of Liberal Arts
and Sciences (LAS) at Iowa State University invites applications for a
tenure-track position at the level of assistant professor. The position
will be a joint appointment between the USLS and in one of the
following academic departments in the LAS College which will serve as
the tenure home: Anthropology, History, Political Science, or the
Greenlee School of Journalism and Communication.
We seek applicants with research and teaching expertise concerning the
experiences of Latino/as in the United States (broadly defined), from
any disciplinary perspective listed above. The new faculty member will
sustain an active program of scholarship in her or his area of
specialization, and teach courses in and provide service to the USLS
program and the tenure-home department.
The USLS program is one of four ethnic studies programs in the LAS
Center for American Intercultural Studies (with American Indian
Studies, African and African American Studies, and Asian American
Studies).
